A warm, positive, and safe environment
My programs prioritize fun-filled activities that spark creativity and foster friendships. From exciting outdoor adventures to engaging indoor projects, every moment is designed to inspire joy and curiosity. With my passion for art and my carefully curated curriculum, children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow in an atmosphere that feels like a second home. It's where memories are made, laughter echoes, and imaginations soar, ensuring summers filled with endless excitement and unforgettable experiences.
Growing healthy children by providing nutritious meals and snacks.
Each meal and snack is carefully planned and prepared to not only nourish the children, but also to meet the USDA guidelines, as well as the Nutritional Standards of Child Care required by Maryland State Department of Education's Division of Early Childhood. We provide well balanced meals in order to meet the children’s daily energy needs and to help them build strong bodies and minds. We encourage children to try different foods, but never force them to.
Defending children from the spread of illness and infection.
It is our priority to provide an environment that is as healthy as possible in order to minimize the spread of germs. By following the Maryland Department of Education’s Standard Precautions and Environmental Safety Child Care Guidance, we promote health and safety of the children as part of our normal operations. In addition to keeping our preschool clean, we recognize the importance of hygiene. By encouraging the children to wash their hands regularly, we reduce cross-infection between kids and staff, and help develop good hygiene habits for the future.
About Ms. Shanelle’s
This homeschool setting was established in April 2023. It's a safe space that purposefully steers clear of contentious subjects in today's social, cultural, and political landscapes. Here, children can simply be children, and we entrust the crucial discussions to parents for guidance at home.
In this household, we prioritize values rooted in Christian principles. While we may not engage in formal religious activities like scripture reading or Bible study, we instill these values by modeling grace, kindness, and calmness in our everyday interactions. We believe in fostering an environment where children are encouraged to embody the virtues of love, compassion, and integrity, without explicit mention of religion. Our practice of praying before meals serves as a simple expression of gratitude and reflection, reflecting our commitment to living out our faith through actions rather than words.
